We are receiving a lot of questions regarding OLMUN 2021. We do know that this conference will not be like any other OLMUN, resulting in new inquiries from your side. In the following, we will answer the most frequently asked questions.
In what way will the conference take place? OLMUN 2021 is likely going to be a hybrid conference with online and in-person committees. Depending on the severity of the on-going pandemic and on the wishes of the participants we will decide how many committees will congregate online. As of now, the ECOSOC and the Special Conference will be online committees. We will only be able to do committee sessions in person if the situation allows it. Further decisions will be made by mid-March so that your group can plan accordingly. OLMUN is also known for its friendly and fun atmosphere during evening activities. We are working on ways to transport that to wherever you are participating from.
How will the online committee sessions be executed? We are currently looking into different software tools. The sessions will likely be video conferences with additional software for resolutions, note passing or handing in amendments to make the sessions as constructive and fruitful as possible.
What will the schedule for OLMUN 2021 be like? OLMUN 2021 is going to take place from June 22nd to June 25th , so there are plans for the whole week. On Tuesday afternoon, we will be having our Opening Ceremony with interesting Guest Speakers. Our patron Heiko Maas has already announced as video message. On Wednesday and Thursday, there will be Committee Sessions during the day and Socialisings in the evening. On Friday, there will be Committee Sessions and our Closing Ceremony. The schedule will be similar to a normal OLMUN Week schedule.
Will the delegation fee stay the same? The delegate fee will stay the same out of several reasons: setting up an infrastructure (video conference and additional software) does make up part of the fee, and we are also planning to send Survival Packs with conference material to the participants. Please keep in mind that the OLMUN Association is a non-profit association. The money will only be used to create this conference.
When does the application close?
The application closes on April 04th , 2021. Please apply as early as possible so that we can plan accordingly.

What are the technical prerequisites to participate in the virtual committee sessions? Additionally, participants should have a webcam and a headset/ microphone to make the most out of the event. Please test your settings in due time before the conference.
